Presenting: the 2022 Maccabiah Games Scheinberg Family Canadian Delegation

The dreams of hundreds of Canadian athletes are one step closer to reality as the Scheinberg Family Foundation has generously stepped into the role as the first ever title sponsor of the Canadian delegation to the 21st Maccabiah Games. 

The Scheinberg Family Canadian Delegation will proudly march into Jerusalem’s Teddy Stadium on July 14, 2022, joining Jewish athletes from around the world to compete in the 21st Maccabiah Games. 

“We will be forever grateful for the incredible support from Isai, Dora and the Scheinberg Family Foundation,” said Tommy Bacher, President of Maccabi Canada. “The goal of the Maccabiah Games is to strengthen one’s Jewish identity through sport and this sponsorship brings us one step closer to helping hundreds of Canadians realize their personal and athletic dreams.” 

“The pandemic has been incredibly difficult for so many Canadians,” added Lee Mes, Executive Director of Maccabi Canada. “In their day-to-day work during the pandemic, the Scheinberg Family Foundation has served as a ray of light for so many in need. We are honoured that along with their ongoing priorities, the Scheinberg Family has also made a point of enabling the participation of hundreds of Canadians in next summer’s Maccabiah Games. We cannot thank the entire family enough for their incredible contribution.” 

The 21st Maccabiah Games is scheduled to take place in Israel from July 12 to 26, 2022.
